The Country Boy Mine Ghost

These photos have not been altered and were sent to us via email because the photographers thought there appeared to be something unusual about the pictures. Most people see images, while a few others do not.

There are no "confirmed" fatal accidents in the Country Boy Mine's 60+ year active mining history. However, these men toiled in 2,000-foot adits and 200-foot stopes, and used the infamous "widow maker" drills; therefore the conclusion can be made that there probably were fatalities. Mine owners did not like to publicize accidents.
